Since its inception in 1986 to 1996 Akanksha’s visual arts program has been a vital part of education, not just a co-curricular or extra-curricular activity. It is considered as important as Math, Science, or Language, fostering essential knowledge, skills, and values that extend beyond the art classroom.

Alumni Testimonial

I believe in being true to myself, especially in challenging times. As an artist, our truest colors reflect our most honest thoughts and ideas.
Ruby Ram

The journey of an Akanksha product begins in art classes, where children explore themes—simple or complex—over months, focusing on the experience rather than perfection. Their creative expressions then move to the Design Studio, where alumni and designers sort, scan, and catalog the artwork, preserving the stories behind each piece. Selected designs are adapted into various formats, preparing them for products.
