Voices

“Art brings me into a different world – my world. In art class, I feel like my mind goes free. My life would be boring without art. In life, I can see art – the sunrise, the tree – in everything there is art. Life is empty without art. It’s made me think about everything – even the math problem that I would leave blank. ”

- Yogesh, 16 year old Akanksha student

”From my O'Keeffe painting I have learnt that when you meet new people you cannot take a decision on their looks, you have to look at them deeper and from the inside.” Rekha, 17 year old Akanksha student"

- Rekha, 17 year old Akanksha student

“We used a brush in a compass to create art. I never thought we could combine Math and art. It made Math so much more fun.”

- Samiksha, 13 year old Akanksha student

”When I create art, I can express myself in the coolest ways. It even helps me feel more confident, like I'm truly being myself. It's not just about making pretty pictures, it's so much more. Art actually helps me think more critically and solve problems.”

- Hadiya, 14 year old Akanksha student

Akanksha products

The journey of an Akanksha product begins in art classes, where children explore themes—simple or complex—over months, focusing on the experience rather than perfection. Their creative expressions then move to the Design Studio, where alumni and designers sort, scan, and catalog the artwork, preserving the stories behind each piece. Selected designs are adapted into various formats, preparing them for products.
