Our Impact
Our 26 schools are provide high-quality education to 14000 children from underserved communities. Many of our 5,100 alumni have gone on to study at reputed national and foreign universities and are pursuing excellent careers in academics, arts and sports. Our end impact is the success of our alumni who lift their families out of generational poverty.
Our Theory of Change
At Akanksha, we aim to provide children of underserved communities the knowledge, skills, and values they need to lead empowered lives, maximize their potential and break out of the cycle of inter-generational poverty by building high-performing, innovative schools and strengthening public school systems Akanksha engages with children over a span of 20+ years – from the age of 4 to 25. This allows us to track our students all the way up to their first few years of working and set them up for an empowered life, thus creating a deep impact in the following areas:

Key stages in our students' journey
KG - Grade 10
Akanksha enrolls students in kindergarten and provides 12 years of schooling till Grade 10, focusing on holistic development with the intent to deliver significantly better learning outcomes than schools serving the same demographic.
Junior College & Higher Studies
After Grade 10, we support our students with career counselling, admission to junior college, higher studies, mentorship, financial aid and academic support through our Alumni Support and Engagement program.
We receive 2.4 times the number of applications versus the number of seats available indicating a demand for excellence
