Mangesh Mandavkar, an invested parent from our Abhyudaya Nagar School has been working relentlessly to help as many people in as many ways as possible.

Mangesh bhaiya works as security personnel at our Abhyudaya Nagar School. His son studies in our school in Grade 4. When Mangesh bhaiya came to know that one of the family had to home quarantine for 14 days, he took it upon himself to ensure that they have everything they need since they couldn’t step outside.

He contacted them every day and made arrangements to deliver essential supplies to them regularly.

Distribution of the kits:

Mangesh bhaiya has been spearheading kit distribution in the community and has delivered kits to over 300 families.

He made arrangements so that all the parents can practice social distancing norms during the collection process. For this, he reached out a ‘Sarvajanik Mandal’ in the community.

Distribution of the tabs:

He has also strived to allow our students to study at home by collecting tabs from the school and distributing them to over 50 students. This wasn’t an easy task since the cupboard keys were with the building in-charge of the school who stays in Badlapur.

The keys were sent to Dadar through the hands of a policeman and Mangesh bhaiya went to pick them up risking his life and safety, all this only to ensure that our students continue to learn in this lockdown.

Mangesh bhaiya is truly an inspiration and a beacon of hope.
